1.Description:The resistance of the painted surface (coating film) to abrasion by brushing, sponging or other means is assessed. This requires an accurate instrument capable of creating repeatable, controlled conditions to simulate the wear and tear to which the coating is exposed in everyday use. BGD has developed an abrasion resistance test apparatus to effectively assess the abrasion resistance of a coating and the associated properties that affect the resistance of a coating to abrasion, and to evaluate the performance of cleaning agents in a repeatable test.
The BGD 526 is a state-of-the-art, fully touch-screen controlled friction resistance tester that is compatible with a wide range of national and international test standards.
