ASTM D1322 Smoke Point Apparatus Tester for Kerosene and Jet Fuel
1.Introduction
SD382 kerosene smoke point tester is designed and manufactured according to GB/T382-83 (91) "Kerosene smoke point determination method".
The kerosene and jet fuel smoke point wicks comply with GB/T382-2017 <<Kerosene and jet fuel smoke point determination method>>, ASTM D 1322-08 standard ASTM D1322 kerosene and aviation turbine fuel smoke point standard test method, used to determine the smoke point of kerosene and jet fuel for lamps.
The smoke point, also known as the smokeless flame height, refers to the maximum height of the smokeless flame when the sample is burned in a standard lamp under specified conditions, expressed in millimeters (mm). The sample oil burns in a standard lamp, and the change in the flame height is reflected on the millimeter scale background. When measuring, raise the wick to a smoky flame, and then lower it to a point where the smoke tail just disappears. The flame height at this point is the smoke point of the sample.
