Introduction
Under standard atmospheric conditions, a standard pressurization device is used to apply a predetermined pressure to the sample and maintain it for the specified period. The overall structure of the instrument and the precise spiral column ensure that the sample undergoes uniform deformation after loading. After removing the sample from the instrument, the sample is re-humidified under standard atmospheric conditions and allowed to recover for a certain period. Then, the sample is compared with the reference sample to evaluate its appearance.
The crease recovery tester consists of a base with a bracket, a circular steel disc fixed on the base that cooperates with the movable steel disc at the top, and a locking pin on the movable flange. The instrument is equipped with 4 standard weights, namely 2000g, 1000g, 500kg, and 200kg.
This instrument provides a complete set of 5-inch × 3-inch plastic plates for rating (1-5 levels).

Scope of application
The AATCC crease (fold) recovery tester can test the recovery ability of a sample after being folded and pressed under a certain load for a certain period of time. It is applicable to any fabric made of pure fibers or blends. Materials that cannot maintain a stable shape under specific creased conditions, such as soft, thin and easily bendable materials, can be evaluated for their crease resistance using this device.
