BGD 566 ISO 6860 Conical Mandrel Tester Coating Shaft Bending Machine
Description: The cone bending tester is designed according to GB/T 11185 and ISO6860-84 standards to evaluate the resistance of coatings of color paints, varnishes or related products to cracking or peeling off from the substrate when bending around a conical axis under standard conditions. The instrument allows the coating to be stretched at different diameters by means of a varying cone diameter, allowing an accurate evaluation of the adhesion properties of the coating film.
Operating Procedure:
→ Carefully cover the surface of the paint film with paper to hold it between the cone shaft and the operating lever, and clamp the fixing plate.
→ Bend the test plate along the conical axis with the manual lever.
→ Bend the sample 180 degrees within 15 seconds with uniform force
→ Remove the paper sheet and check where the paint film is cracked
→ Record the location of the crack and measure the distance from the crack to the smallest side of the diameter of the bending axis.
→ The extension value of the paint film can be determined from the calibration curve.
