BGD 568 ISO 17132 ASTM D 4145 T-Bend Tester Manual Coating Bend Device
Description: With the painted surface facing the outside of the bend, the painted test plate was bent 180° back to its backside with a progressively decreasing radius of curvature, where the size of the radius of curvature was determined by the spacer. After bending of the test panels, each sample was examined for cracking of the coating by means of a magnifying glass and peeling of the coating was observed by means of a tape pull-off test. A T-bend rating is used to indicate the smallest diameter at which the test plate can be bent without cracking or flaking of the coating, i.e., without passing through a condition that no longer occurs. A visual inspection, also or through a magnifying glass, is used to determine whether any form of flaking of the coating film has occurred.
BGD 568-T bending machine in line with GB / T 30791 (Biao Geda the main drafting unit of this standard) and ISO 17132 "color paints and varnishes T-bend test" standard in the folding method (repeated folding around the test plate itself) requirements.
