Zebra Method Detector Used for Optical Deformation Detection of Glass
1. Introduction

The BM-8 Zebra Method Detector is designed and manufactured according to the technical requirements of the national standard GB11614-2009<<flat glass>> and is used to detect the optical deformation angle (zebra angle) of float glass. It is an essential quality inspection equipment for float glass manufacturers and is also suitable for glass quality inspection institutions at all levels.
Principles and block diagrams
The principle diagram of the BM-8 zebra method detector is shown in the figure. It consists of a zebra light box curtain, a turntable with scale and a control cabinet. The lighting box illuminates the zebra curtain evenly. The observer controls the forward and inversion of the turntable through the console button at a position 9 meters away from the curtain. He rotates the glass sample standing on the glass bracket. He observes the deformation of the zebra stripes through the glass sample, and measures the critical angle of the deformation of the zebra pattern (the angle between the parallel line between the glass and the zebra curtain). At this time, the angle displayed on the turntable is the optical deformation angle of the glass sample.
