1. Introduction
I. Use
NF-5 type radiation resistance detector is testing equipment, suitable for automobile laminated glass, building laminated glass and fireproof glass and other kinds of laminated glass UV resistance test, widely used in deep processing glass enterprises and all levels of quality supervision and inspection departments.
Ii. Equipment structure and working principle
This instrument uses ozonless quartz tube type medium pressure mercury vapor arc lamp as radiation source to illuminate laminated glass, in order to determine whether the glass after a period of time irradiation will appear obvious color change or transmission ratio decrease phenomenon. The shape of the instrument is shown in the figure, which is composed of power supply, UV lamp, sample bucket, motor, reducer, control circuit, etc. The UV lamp is placed on the vertical axis of the sample barrel inside the instrument, and the sample barrel is driven by the motor and the reducer to rotate around the vertical axis. The sample is placed on the inner wall of the sample barrel to obtain uniform radiation illumination through the rotation of the sample barrel. The control circuit controls the irradiation time and the temperature in the instrument cavity to meet the test requirements.

Iv. Operation method
1. Clean the sample with defatted cotton soaked in absolute ethanol. First, test the transmittance of the sample according to GB5137.2 method, and then put the sample into the sample barrel of the tester, and close the sample hatch door.
2. Adjust the time and temperature regulator on the control panel to set the irradiation time and the test temperature of the sample.
3. Turn on the power of the instrument, press the "Power" button to open the main power switch of the instrument.
4. Press the "UV lamp" button to light the UV lamp.
5. Press the "sample bucket" button to rotate the sample bucket.
6. Press "Temperature" button to start the temperature control function. When the temperature in the cavity exceeds the set temperature, the axial fan on the top of the instrument automatically turns on the heat dissipation to achieve the purpose of constant temperature.
7. Press the "time" button to start the time recording. When the running time reaches the preset time, all work will be stopped, and only the total power supply will be kept in the on-standby state.
8. Press the "Power" button to turn off the instrument.
9. Open the door of the sample compartment, take out the sample, and test the transmission ratio of the irradiated sample.
V. Instrument maintenance and troubleshooting
1, the instrument because of the UV lamp power is large, the power transformer will produce higher temperature, the machine has been designed for transformer cooling air duct, therefore, the instrument should be placed in the room and the wall should be set apart 20cm spacing for heat dissipation.
2, the transformer has magnetic saturation characteristics, therefore, turn off the UV lamp and then turn on again needs a few minutes of time, otherwise the UV lamp can not be lit.
