1.Profile
The UV Accelerated weathering test chamber stimulates dew and rain with consideation for humidity and/or water spray equipped with a fluorescent UV lamp which can completely simulate the UV spectra of sunlight, exposes materials to alternating cycles of UV light and moisture at controlled, elevated temperatures.It's most widely used weathering tester to test types of damages include colour change, gloss loss, chalking, cracking, crazing, hazing, blistering, strength loss and oxidation. The source adopts 8 pieces of UV lamps of 40W as the light source. The lamps are distributed on the two sides of machine, 4 pieces for each side (UVA-340 and UVB-313 optional).

| Temperature control | |
| UV: the primary optics reaction won't be sencetive to the changing temperature, while, the reaction speed under the second grade will acts closely to the changing temperature. Usually it will be faster as the heating-up, as a result, under the blazing sun of UV lighting, it's very important to control the temperature. The most important what we do is to set the testing temperature for accelerate test should match the highest temperature during the practical application, the temperature of 50ºC to 70 ºC depends on the lighting level and air temperature. Temperature adjustment of equipment is to control the air heating, water heating and other series action in the machine by the micro computer. Humidity: collapsing force from humidity to material will increase according to the rising temperature. So the temperature control is the basic requirement. In other words, to generate high speed is to keep high temperature environment during the humidity process, so the temperature of condensation should be set in the range of 40ºC to 60 ºC. |
